As the name suggests, ball pythons are almost always found curled up in a ball. It is a defensive mechanism, however, they do like to explore as well. They prefer small dark places and are found in small burrows in their native country of Africa. Thier primary diet consists of rodents, which are most often fed pre-killed or frozen thawed.
Lastly, when it comes to size, it is typical to see females get a bit larger than males. With this in mind, if you prefer a ball python on the smaller side, a male can be a great choice. If you prefer a ball python on the slightly larger side, then select a female. We also carry ball python morphs of the Sub-Saharan line, which tend to be the biggest line of ball pythons available. In our store, this line of ball pythons will be noted on the animal’s title name.
